1A track and field

Area Class 1A track and field athletes competed in the University Bulldog Invitational in Greeley last Saturday. They will go different directions on Saturday, but all of them again will be at the Yuma Bill Kalb Invitational on Monday. (Saturday’s Eaton Invitational has been moved to Monday due to weather forecasts.)

Otis

Otis High School’s track and field athletes will be at the Warren Mitchell Invitational in Limon on Saturday, then at the Yuma Bill Kalb Invitational on Monday.

The Bulldogs competed in the University Bulldog Invitational in Greeley, which attracted about 30 schools. The boys scored 10 points to finish 19th in the team standings. Sawyer Packer scored all the points by winning the triple jump with a distance of 40-10.5

Lone Star

The Lone Star track and field athletes are at the Eaton Invitational on Saturday, then will compete in the Yuma Bill Kalb Invitational on Monday.

Lone Star was at the big University Bulldog Invitational last Saturday.

The boys scored 9.5 points. Wyatt Cochran whipped the discus 128-10 to place fifth, and was eighth in the shot put with a heave of 39-10. Anderson Weathers cleared 12-9 fof sixth in the pole vault, and was eighth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.28 seconds. Grant Kuntz was eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 37-9.5.

The girls scored 1.5 points as Peytyn Kuntz cleared 8-3 to place seventh in the pole vault.

Arickaree

Arickaree track and field athletes will be at the Warren Mitchell Invitational in Limon on Saturday, then at the Yuma Bill Kalb Invitational on Monday.

The Bison were at the big University Bulldog Invitational in Greeley last Saturday.

Arickaree’s boys scored eight points courtesy of Austin Wright placing second in the discus with a distance of 132-foot-9.
