City rec offering youth fall sports

The Yuma Recreation Department is going to offer youth fall sports seasons, starting next month.
Adult women’s volleyball has been postponed until January.
The youth sports, volleyball and flag football, will be outside and continue for four weeks.
Registration is at Yuma City Hall. The deadline is Wednesday, September 9.
• Volleyball for grades K-3 will be on Mondays, September 14 through October 5, from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Practice/games will be played on the sports courts at City Park by the pool. The school and Yuma Police Department will help get the kids to the park.
• Volleyball for grades 4-6 also will bb on Mondays, September 14 through October 5, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Practice/games will be played on the sand volleyball courts at City Park.
• Flag football for grades K-3 will be on Tuesdays, September 15 through October 6, from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Practice/games will be held on the Yuma Middle School football field.
• Flag football for grades 4-6 (there will not be tackle football this fall), also will be on Tuesdays, September 15 through October 6, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Practice/games will be at the YMS football field.
Each play day, the coaches will turn in a list of all children who participated in the games. Parents are asked to keep their children home if not feeling well.
