Carmen Christine Witte, age 60, of Wray Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 23rd surrounded by her family. She was born on April 2, 1965, in Wray Colorado, to Clifford and Opal Miller (Roberts).
Carmen grew up in Wray and attended Wray Schools. She spent 13 years working at the local bank and held various jobs and business roles throughout her life. However, her greatest calling was always caring for her family, to whom she devoted herself wholeheartedly.
On March 2, 1984, Carmen married the love of her life, Mitch Witte, in Wray. Together they built a love home and raised three children: Levi Wayne, Curtis and Katie.
Carmen is survived by her husband Mitch Witte and their children:
Levi Wayne Witte (Kristiina) and children: Austin, Kaylynn, Aaron, Aarikka, Sophie, and Laynee
Curtis Witte (Erin) and children: Tessa and Tucker; Katie Shaw (Brian) and children: Paxton and Declan.
She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews who held a dear place in her heart.
Levi Evan Witte (Angela) and children: Jayden and Cameron; Danny Witte (Jessica) and daughter Lyla; Rachel Juranek; Brother-in-law Bruce Juranek.
Her sister, Lois Pirtle (Larry), also survives her, also with Camen’s nieces and nephews:
Jeremy (Kirby) Jacobson and family; Wendy (Jim) Malecek and family; Sarah (Greg) Bledsoe and family.
Carmen’s love and friendship extended far beyond her immediate family. She shared a special bond with her dear friends Bev Weeks (David) and families, Jesse Cushion, and Cindy Like, as well as a host of other beloved family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Opal Miller, brother Scott Miller, niece Tina Chase, parents-in-laws Dean and Barb Witte, and brother-in-law Bill Witte.
Carmen’s legacy of warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Her funeral was held Friday September 26, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Wray Colorado.
