Clifton Boggess’ murder trial in relation to Britani Meek’s disappearance and death has been continued.
Jury selection began Monday in Yuma County District Court in Wray. The trial was scheduled to last until June 1.
However, it was announced the trial had been continued, and a new date will be selected by May 28.
District Attorney Travis Sides confirmed with the Pioneer that newly-discovered evidence was the reason for the continuation.
The Pioneer has been told the court will have to call a whole new jury pool.
