It is back to Friday Night Lights for the Otis High School football team.
The Bulldogs played their last two regular season games on Saturday afternoons, then opened the 6-man playoffs last Saturday afternoon with a wind-pummeled 56-16 home win over Fleming.
Now they travel to fourth-seed Peetz for a quarterfinal at 7 p.m. on Friday. All other quarterfinals will be Saturday.
Peetz advanced with a 44-0 win over Arickaree, last Friday.
Otis played at Peetz just a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon, losing 37-22. The Bulldogs enter the quarterfinal with a 8-3 record, while Peetz is 10-0 but has not played the same gauntlet as Otis; the Bulldogs have played three of the top four teams, including No. 1 Idalia and No. 2 Stratton.

A bitterly-cold wind gusting above 30 miles per hour, pounded the Otis field throughout Saturday’s game. (Playoff games throughout the region were played in the same conditions.)
It grounded a Bulldogs air attack that went for more than 400 yards the previous week at Eads. However, it did not deter the Bulldogs’ physicality as they completely dominated from start to finish.
It was close early, but Cambric Klinzmann broke off two long touchdown runs on which none of the Wildcats could corral them, and then Austin Hornung returned a fumble 46 yards for a touchdown after the ball was stripped by Gracen Bechtle.
Otis led 42-8 with about six minutes left in the second quarter, and the game was all but over.
Klinzmann ran for 200 yards and three touchdown on just 10 carries, while Mitchell Stivers added 156 yards and four touchdowns on 17 carries. Otis had zero passing yards.
Defensively, Klinzmann was in on 16 total tackles, Gracen Bechtle eight, Malakye Reese eight, Hornung seven and two fumble recoveries, Grady Bechtle five, Emiliano Varela four, Blake Stivers two and Hayden Chambers one.
ARICKAREE FOOTBALL

The Bison finished 2025 with a 5-6 record. Peetz gradually put away the game, scoring 12 points in the first quarter, 12 in the second, then six in the third and 14 in the final stanza.
Arickaree statistics were not available.
It was the last high school football game for seniors Austin Wright and Keith Page.
