A Yuma City Council candidate forum will be held Tuesday, March 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Red Willow on Main.
Eric Metcalfe will serve as the moderator. There will be an introduction and background by each of the candidates. A series of preset questions will be asked by the moderator, which will be answered by each candidate. That will be followed by a question-and-answer session by the public.
Sitting on the city council is a non-partisan position, and only the issues of the city will be addressed.
Ballots have been mailed out to registered voters, but it is asked that electors hold on to their vote until they can hear the candidates speak at the forum, as well as learn about each of them in this week’s and next week’s Pioneer editions. Voters have until April 5 to cast their ballots.
Featured in this week’s Pioneer are Marylu Smith-Dischner, Dana Olsen Josh, Daniel Ebersole and Marc Shay. Look for more next week on Jerome Benish, Terri Frame, Shannon Scholefield, and Zane McMeekin.
The event is sponsored by Red Willow on Main and Tumbleweed Brewing & Wine Co.
