Haleigh Struder running for full term as YC Clerk & Recorder

Haleigh Struder has announced that she is running for re-election as Yuma County Clerk & Recorder.

She was appointed earlier this year by the Yuma County Commissioners, as long-time Clerk & Recorder Bev Wenger announced her retirement.

Following is Struder’s announcement letter:

When I was appointed to this position in April 2025, I never imagined how meaningful this role would become to me. What began as an opportunity to take on a new challenge quickly turned into a responsibility I care deeply about. Serving the people of Yuma County has been an honor, and I am proud of the work our office has done during a time of transition.

My commitment as Clerk is simple: serving Yuma County with integrity. That commitment is reflected in three priorities that guide my work every day: secure elections, a commitment to honesty and transparency, and customer service.

This past November, I had the responsibility of overseeing my first election as Clerk. The election took place during a transition of leadership following many years of long-standing service in this office. Thanks to the dedication of our staff and the cooperation of election partners, the process went smoothly. We followed election law to the letter, passed all required audits, and provided a secure and orderly election for Yuma County voters.

I believe strongly in transparency and welcome questions from the public about how elections are conducted. Our processes are open, and I am committed to explaining the work we do so voters can have confidence in the results.

Equally important to me is how people are treated when they walk through the doors of the Clerk’s office. Whether someone is voting, registering a vehicle, or recording important documents, they deserve to be met with respect, patience, and professionalism. Customer service matters, especially during moments that can be stressful or confusing.

I am seeking a full term as Yuma County Clerk & Recorder so I can continue building on this foundation, support and train our staff, and ensure that the office remains a place of integrity, service, and accountability.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and for your trust in this role.
