Hannah Lungwitz to take over Chamber in ’26

The Yuma Chamber Board of Directors has announced a change in the leadership for the Yuma Chamber of Commerce.

Effective January, 2026 Hannah Lungwitz will take over as Director of the Yuma Chamber of Commerce. She will be replacing Alice Swanson who has served in the role since July, 2024.

Both the board and Alice are excited to have Hannah on board.

“When I stepped into this position shortly before retiring from the BOLDERBoulder, it was a wonderful way to stay busy and engaged in work I truly enjoy,” Swanson said in the announcement. “However, as I look ahead — both at the Chamber’s long-term strategy and my own personal goals, which lean toward doing more project type work and more align with ‘retirement’ —I felt it was important to transition only when the right person was in place. I believe we have found that person in Hannah.”

Lungwitz has deep roots in the community, where she and her husband are raising their three daughters. She is enthusiastic about serving in this capacity and will use her skills and connections to help the Chamber maintain vital to the community.

Swanson will remain involved helping to support events, run some of the programs and assist with the transition as needed. “I love Yuma, and I love this business community. I’m excited to stay involved for as long as I’m needed,” she said.

“I am thrilled to take this position with the Yuma Chamber,” Lungwitz said regarding her new role. “It is an honor to be a part of such a vibrant, forward-thinking organization dedicated to fostering local business and supporting the growth of our community. I love being part of a small town where community truly matters. I am genuinely excited for the opportunity to collaborate with fellow members and community leaders. I firmly believe that by working together, sharing ideas and supporting one another we can drive meaningful growth and positive change in our area. I believe that strong local businesses and engaged families are the heart of any thriving town, and I’m eager to play a part in both. I look forward to learning from all of you.”
