Hospital board election is set

There will be an actual election for the Yuma Hospital District Board of Directors.
The May 3 mail-in election will be the first YHD Board election since 2010. All others since have been cancelled since there were not enough candidates to have an election.
The seats currently held by Monica King and Roy Mekelburg are up for election. A total of five candidates filed their nomination petitions by the February 25 deadline.
King is running for another term. Also running for a board seat are Robert Dorothy, Kathleen Drullinger Haerr, Matthew Liming and DeAnn Sewell.

The YHD Board has a total of five seats. The other board members are Chris Blecha, Cindy Stulp and Andrea Anzlovar.
