JV and C teams get wins

The Yuma High School JV girls basketball team had just one game last week, winning 54-26 at home over Burlington, Saturday.
The Indians led 48-13 after three quarters. Alina Moran had 20 points and nine rebounds, Jade Lungwitz nine points, three rebounds and two steals, Braylynn Armstrong seen points, four rebounds and two assists, Hailey Eyring six points and three rebounds, Liddy Day five points, Elizabeth Mendoza two points and two rebounds, Jailyn Mekelburg five rebounds, Jordan Glanz four rebounds, Wendy Garcia two rebounds, and Myka McDonald one point and one rebound.

C-TEAM PULLS OUT WIN
Yuma High School’s girls C-team rallied to pull out a 25-23 win over Haxtun, Monday at YHS.
Braylynn Armstrong had 17 points, and Elizabeth Mendoza added eight. It was the C-team’s only action this past week.

BOYS C-TEAM ROLL
Yuma High School’s boys basketball C-team picked up two more wins this past week.
The Indians won 33-11 at Akron, last Friday. Eric Wario had nine points, Brodie Castillo nine, Damien Kosinski four, Mely Gonzales four, Kevin Orona three, Cristian Rascon two, and James Brandner two.
They hosted Haxtun this past Monday, winning 50-18. Silas Baucke had 10 points, Kosinski 10, Jonathan Thomson eight, Wario seven, Edwin Munoz three, Castillo three, Ty Remmich three, Jaime Montanes two, Liam McClaren two and Will Noble two.
