King, Rawson Sewell win YHD Board election

Monica King and DeAnn Rawson Sewell came out the winners when the final votes were tabulated in the Yuma Hospital District Board of Directors election, which came to an end Tuesday.
King earned another term on the board with 536 votes. Rawson Sewell was elected to her first term with 310 votes. There were a total of five candidates, as Matthew B. Liming received 256 votes, Robert Vern Dorothy 231 and Kathleen Drullinger Haerr 199.
Returning members on the board are Chris Blecha, Cindy Stulp and Andrea Anzlovar.
The realigned board will meet for the first time later this month.
This year was the first time since 2010 that there were enough candidates to have an actual election.
