The Washington–Yuma Combined Communications Center (WYCC) announces that Communications Director Lonnie Knudsen will be stepping down from his position effective March 6, 2026.
During his tenure, Knudsen led the organization through a period of operational strengthening and strategic development. Under his leadership, WYCC enhanced staffing stability, advanced training programs, modernized policies, improved technology planning, and reinforced its commitment to CJIS compliance and professional standards. His efforts helped position the center as a reliable and forward-thinking 911 communications agency serving Washington and Yuma Counties.
The WYCC Board has appointed Chris Marston as Interim Communications Director, effective March 6, 2026. Marston brings operational experience and institutional knowledge to the role and will provide continuity in leadership while the Board evaluates long-term plans for the organization.
WYCC remains fully committed to providing professional, reliable, and responsive emergency communications services to its partner agencies and the communities it serves. Day-to-day operations will continue without interruption.
