Michael (Mike) Roy Aagesen passed away at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado on November 15,2025 due to injuries from a motorcycle accident.
Mike was born on April 13,1960 to Marven (Mike) Aagesen and Carla (Snelling) Aagesen. Mike was raised in Yuma and attended the Yuma Schools with the class of 1980.
Mike had 2 children, Brandon James and Leslie Morgan.
Mike married the love of his life, Hope (Armagost) in April 1995, which added Hope’s previous children, Aaron, Tylor, and Bree to his family.
Mike and Hope had many adventures and good times together, Managing The Club at Indians Hills, Their Friday Night Friends, they enjoyed their social life with friends and family time as well. They were a team throughout their marriage of 29 years.
One of Mike’s hobbies he enjoyed was Iron Mike’s BBQ. He competed in competitions in the area along with his son Brandon and loved the fun it brought and the memories they made along the way. He always had an annual BBQ for family and friends at the farm for several years and cooked some amazing food, fun games, shared stories, laughs and many memories made together.
Mike loved riding his Harley with his biker brothers whether it was a day ride or a poker run for charity, helping his friends with projects, fishing, working on cars, tinkering with things, and helping anyone he could whether a friend or a stranger.
He also enjoyed spending time with Brandon putting his bike back together and helping Leslie work on her Harley and teaching her how to keep it tuned and safe.
Throughout his life Mike had various jobs. He worked for the City of Yuma for 10 years, Bonanza, Napa and was currently working for Rocky Mountain Cleaning Systems. He was a Mechanic for many years as well. He loved a challenge and always had several projects going on.
Prior to his accident, Mike ran for a seat on City Council and was voted in with the most votes, 542. Mike would have been excited, humble, and grateful about winning the city council election, he would have been proud to serve the community that has always been so supportive of him.
Mike was a strong, loving and charitable person who took on any challenge, finding the good in everyone. He would talk to complete strangers about anything and be engaged and interested in the conversation. Mike would give you his last dollar, knowing he would find a way to take care of his own bills later. He thought of others first and sought ways to help those in need, but he always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. Mike left a lifelong impact on each and everyone’s lives he touched.
