Three Yuma High School baseball players have been honored by the Lower Platte Activities Association coaches.
Silas Baucke and Jesus Rodriguez were named to the 2025 All-LPAA Team, and Reyli Trejo earned honorable mention. The Outlaws went 17-7 and reached the 2A regional final. However, they are in the same league as 1A state champion Akron, fellow 1A powers Haxtun and Merino, and Highland, which advanced to the 2A state tournament. Therefore, those teams dominated the all-conference picks with at least four, leaving Yuma with a relatively low number despite such a good season.
Yuma All-LPAA
Silas Baucke — The senior concluded his high school career with a strong campaign in the 2025 season. He was the team’s top pitcher, finishing with a 7-2 record and a 1.73 earned run average. He struck out 82 and walked 31 in 56.2 innings, holding opponents to a .198 batting average. Offensively, Baucke hit .441 at the plate, with a team-leading five home runs, along with 10 doubles and one triple, 22 RBI and scored 25 runs. He will continue his baseball career in college.
Jesus Rodriguez — The freshman appears to be on his way to being one of the best catchers in Yuma baseball’s history. He had 29 assists, most of them via throwing out base runners trying to steal. Rodriguez led the team at the plate with a .449 batting average, with a team-leading 15 doubles and one home run, along with a team-high 32 RBI.
Reyli Trejo — The junior earned honorable mention this season. He hit .319 with seven doubles, one triple and one home run, driving in 26 runs and scoring 10 runs. Trejo fashioned a 3-2 record on the hill, striking out 24 and walking 15 in 21 innings.
