Ronald Scott Aydelott 1945-2022

Ronald Scott Aydelott was born on February 14, 1945 to Andrew Lester and Nona Pearl (Curtis) Aydelott at Sterling Good Samaritan Hospital. He departed this world on June 24, 2022 at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 10 days old.
Ronnie’s life started in Fleming with his mom, Nona, Lester was deployed overseas at the time. Ronnie was one and a half years old when he met his father. He was the oldest of five children: his four siblings were: Sharrie Lee (1947); Kathy Jean (1950) Terry Marvin (1954); Stanley Paul (1957).
In 1963 Ronnie graduated Fleming High School and immediately went to work. As a boy he delivered papers and was a box boy at Rudles Grocery Store.
In 1964 the family moved to the Lone Star area. Ronnie was drafted into the Army. However, he developed an ulcer and did not pass the physical. He worked for several places, and sometimes two at a time. He worked for Dick Taylor for several years, assisting with both the farming and cattle business. Ronnie worked for the Lone Star Trailers for twenty plus years. During this time he purchased his home north of Otis, Colorado. Then in 1999 Ronnie went to work for EZ Irrigation Highway 34 until his passing.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Lester and Nona Pearl (Curtis) Aydelott; sister, Sharrie Lee (Aydelott) Ellis; Brother-in-law, Ronald Eugene Petersen; paternal grandparents, Andrew and Edna Aydelott; maternal grandparents, Henry and Emma Curtis.
Those left to mourn Ronnie’s absence are Kathy Jean (Aydelott) Petersen of Yuma, Colorado; Terry Marvin Aydelott of Haxtun, Colorado; Stanley Paul Aydelott of Yuma, Colorado; Troy Kent and family of Holyoke, Colorado; Damon Ellis of Holyoke, Colorado; Angie White and family of Akron, Colorado; Nikki Burrows and family of Evans, Colorado; Terra Schriener and family of Altus, Oklahoma; Shaunna Swenson and family of Haxtun, Colorado along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In Lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated. Services were held Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Baucke Funeral Chapel in Yuma, Colorado. Interment followed at the Yuma Cemetery.
