Vance running for YC Clerk in ’26

From Sara Vance

Many of you throughout Yuma County have gotten to know me while I have been happily working for the Clerk and Recorders office over the course of the last eight years. For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Sara Vance.

I was born and raised here in our great county. I am married to the love of my life, Jessie, and we have two wonderful children together, Lennon, and Sadie.

In the time I have spent working for the Clerk’s Office, I have gained many skills and certifications that are needed to run one of the most important offices in the county efficiently. I am certified in elections, motor vehicle and driver’s license. I also have the skills needed to make informed decisions when helping the public (you) with renewing your license plates or driver’s licenses, issuing marriage licenses, recording public documents, and titling vehicles, all while making the process the state government has made so difficult and painful, easier and less stressful on all of you.

After many thoughts and prayers and being turned down to fill the clerk’s vacancy by our three commissioners on April 17, 2025, I have determined I want to continue to serve this great county by being the voice and leader that Yuma County deserves.

With that being said, I am announcing my candidacy for Clerk and Recorder for the 2026 election, to allow Yuma County to make their voices heard by entrusting someone with the experience needed to fill this very important position.

I would like to thank our Clerk and Recorder, Beverly Wenger, for her dedication to this county and look forward to serving all of Yuma County with the same heart and dedication in the years to come.
