Barbara Ann Scott 1935-2021

Barbara Ann Scott died from COVID-19 November 6, 2021, at Saint Anthony Hospital in Lakewood Colorado. She was born at home on March 9, 1935, about 11 miles northwest of Wray, Colorado on the farm where her paternal grandparents and parents lived.
Barbara was the first-born child of Charles Livingston Brown, Jr. a.k.a. CL and Pearl Margaret (Tombaugh) Brown. She was followed by sisters Mary and Carol.
She loved the farm life and all it entailed whether it was feeding the cattle, rounding them up, milking the cow or driving a tractor. Her favorite pastime was riding horses, especially Daisy Mae.
In 1951 the family moved from the farm to Wray where Barbara finished high school.
In 1956 Barbara married Ramon Luis Scott and they eventually moved to Lakewood, Colorado in 1965 where she lived for 56 years. Outside the home Barbara held several jobs including her own house cleaning business. Barbara loved training and showing her German Shorthaired Pointers and won several trophies in field trials and dog shows. She also loved genealogy, knitting, gardening, antique furniture restoration, playing her piano, reading, bird watching, walking at parks and at the Rec. Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers-in-law Duane Schafer and Gene Keeler, and niece Kathleen (Schafer) Fonte and a multitude of uncles, aunts and cousins. Also, former husband and friend, Robert T Wooldrik.
Surviving her are her three children, Dale Lee Scott of Hot Sulfur Springs, CO, Deana Rae Scott of Van Etten, NY, and Bruce Ramon Scott of Golden, CO, grandson Bryan Michael Tucker & wife Krystal of Moravia, NY, great-grandson Bryce and great-grand-daughter Denver, step great-grand-children Maddie and Bentley; sisters Mary Keeler of Wray and Carol Martinez of Broomfield CO; also her former husband and friend Ramon Luis Scott of NM. Also surviving her are many nephews and nieces and their families, including great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces as well as a dwindling number of first cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at the Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home in Wray, Colorado with Pastor Harold Jackson officiating.
Inurnment will be held in the Grandview Cemetery in Wray, Colorado.
