Carol Haruf, age 77 passed away peacefully at home due to complications of Leukemia, November 21, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Alice Miller of Zenda, KS; Three brothers, Gerold Miller and Eddie Miller. One sister, JoAnn McArther. Husband Verne Haruf.
She is survived by brother Dean Miller, sister Marilyn Bullard, daughter Joni Olusegun, son’s Jeff Dunkelberger and Jamie Dunkelberger, 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Carol was born in Zenda, KS, and moved to Yuma, Colorado in 1971. She then moved to Denver in 1985 and back to Yuma in 2010. Carol later moved to Indianola, IA in 2018.
Services will be held on January 29th, 2022 at 11 a.m. Zenda, KS, Zenda United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Attica, KS. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you donate to the Carol Haruf Memorial. There will also be a celebration of life in Yuma, CO in the Spring of 2022.
