Ken Bowersox 1942-2022

Ken, 80, of Greeley, Colorado passed away on April 28th, 2022. Born April 11th 1942 to Willard and Eulaine Bowersox in Vona, Colorado. Ken attended Yuma high school, graduating with the class of 1960.
He married the love of his life, Dorothy Jean Klein on October 8, 1961 in Yuma, Colorado. They began their life together in Yuma, moved around Nebraska for some years, returned to Yuma and ultimately landed in Greeley, Colorado. Right out of the gate Ken had a passion for business and had an entrepreneurial outlook on life. When he saw the potential in a business deal, he would jump at the opportunity. If there weren’t any interesting projects coming up, Ken would create his own. He started several of his own bands, invented his own gadgets, and even built his own carwash. Above all else, it was music that called to his heart, he carried it with him everywhere he went. From his life as a DJ to the karaoke gatherings of friends and family, he always shared his love of music with anyone and everyone. He loved to sing and dance. Nothing could stop him from getting on the dance floor, not even his wheelchair. When he wasn’t sharing the joy of music, he loved the peace that nature had to offer. Ken considered himself a true outdoorsman, enjoying boating, fishing and panning for gold.
Ken is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jean Bowersox, son Kevin Laverne Bowersox (Jodi), daughters Shelly Rae Powell (Tony), and April Renae Brandon. His brother Lynn Bowersox, sisters Ginger Lamson (Dick), Wanda Koltak, Joy Jacobson (Dan) and step sister Pat Rogers. His grandchildren Tristan (Kitty), Tracy (Jessie), Debra (Brandon), Charleen, Jeffery, Arianne (Joey), Sabrina (Shad), and Jamal.
