Lone Star doing social distancing graduation

Lone Star will be holding a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020 on Saturday.
It will begin at 10 a.m. and will be held outdoors on the football field.
The four-member Class of 2020 includes Wyatt Lockwood, Michaela Kuntz, Anniston Buss and Jasmine Fisher.

All community members are welcome, but the school asks if anyone in the family is not feeling well to please not attend.
Superintendent/principal Mike Bowers shared the guidelines that will be in place in order to be in compliance with the health department.
• Each graduated will be screened for signs of illness before the ceremony begins.
• All the graduates will sit on a flatbed trailer on the track.
• All graduates will be allowed to have family members sit on the football field together, but only family from the same household. Each family will be required to appropriately social distance from other attendees.
• It is recommended that attendees wear a mask.
• All other graduation attendees must socially distance themselves appropriately from other families and may sit on the football field.
• Anybody that is vulnerable, at high risk or not feeling well is asked to not attend.
• There will not be any after-graduation celebrations held on school grounds.
• Attendees will park in the main parking lot and walk to the football field. The school will accommodate anyone in need of handicapped parking.
• Tables will be set up for each graduate for attendees to drop off gifts.
• A video will be taken of the ceremony and streamed online via social media.
