Yuma Hospital and Clinics received delivery of its new MRI unit Monday, marking the next major step in the imaging suite project. The installation team is putting the finishing touches on the project, including reinstalling the tilt panel, completing wall shielding, and finalizing cabinetry around the unit. Once construction wraps up, the hospital will turn on the chiller system to activate the powerful new magnet.

Following this step, calibration and precision testing will ensure the MRI delivers the highest quality imaging for patients. Staff will then participate in applications training to maximize the system’s advanced capabilities.
These steps will prepare the MRI for patient use starting on October 31st, expanding local access to advanced diagnostic imaging.
