Pauline Frenzl passed away peacefully in her sleep at Harmony House in Yuma, Colorado. She was born July 14, 1935, in Brush, Colorado, to Paul and Clara Walczyk. Pauline attended school in the Washington County School system.
On December 27, 1955, she married Frank A. Frenzl. Shortly after their marriage, she moved to Alaska to be with Frank while he was serving his country. While living in Alaska, Pauline took a job at the Anchorage military base.
After Frank was discharged from the Army, they drove back to Washington County to settle down and begin their life on the farm. In the spring of 1964, they purchased a farm and residence north of Otis. For the next 56 years, they would spend their time farming, raising pigs, and collecting antiques at auctions. Pauline enjoyed traveling with her husband and collecting mementos from their trips. She was a loving and supportive wife.
Pauline was involved with St. Joseph’s Church in Akron; her faith and church were essential to her.
In March 2020, Frank and Pauline made the difficult decision to leave their home of 56 years and move to Harmony Home in Yuma. While there, Pauline made many new friends and enjoyed playing bingo, putting puzzles together, and participating in group activities with the other residents.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Frank, parents Paul and Clara Walczyk, and many other family and friends whom she loved and held dear.
A funeral service to celebrate Pauline’s life was held at her beloved St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Akron on May 30, 2025. Donations can be made in Pauline’s name to the Otis Fire Department.
