Water line project moves to N. Main

The City of Yuma’s water-line replacement project for 2023 has now moved to N. Main St.
The Concrete Specialties crew wrapped up the first phase on W. Second Ave. last week. The final touch came Tuesday morning as the impacted stretch was repaved.
Now it is on to N. Main St.
Beginning this past Monday portions of N. Main were closed as construction began on a new water main. This project will also replace aging water valves, service lines, and fire hydrants. The project is expected to be completed within six to eight weeks.
The construction will begin at the intersection of N. Main and E. Foch Ave., and continue north two blocks to the intersection at E. Benson Ave. Alternate routes will be available on Albany St. to the east, and Birch St. to the west. If you have any questions about this project, please contact the Water Department at (970) 848-3878.
During the project, residents along N. Main and surrounding areas may experience short water outages. The City of Yuma Water Department staff will do their best to notify affected customers prior to water shut offs.
The City of Yuma wanted to pass along that it thanks “you for your understanding and patience as we work to complete these critical infrastructure improvements.”
