YHS Homecoming this week

Homecoming is being celebrated this week at Yuma High School.
Students and staff have had a “dress up” theme each day. The theme today, Thursday, November 5, is “Meme Day” with all memes needing to be school appropriate. Friday will be Red & White Day.

There have been some night-time activities this week. There was a scavenger hunt, Tuesday night.
A drive-in movie is planned for today at 7 p.m.at the football field parking lot. The movie is “Space Jam” and concessions will be available.
There is a pep assembly Friday during the advisement period. Only students are allowed to attend the bonfire set for 7 p.m. at the south end of the football field parking lot. Tickets are being sold to attend.
The YHS football team will play Wiggins at 1 p.m. Saturday. The coronation of the Homecoming King and Queen will take place during halftime.
The King candidates are Lane Remmich, Cade Morton, Braden Smith and Brandon Mendoza.

The Queen candidates are Kimberly Guerro, Shelby Blach, Ema Richardson and Gisele Gutierrez.
There will be a Homecoming Dance, Saturday night, but it is not school sanctioned.
