Lone Star’s girls track and field team scored 22 points at the windswept Wray Dick Evans Invitational, last Thursday.
Alivia Weathers placed second in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.25 seconds, and second in the 300 hurdles in 49.66 seconds. Lamya Kuntz cleared 8-foot-7 for third in the pole vault.
The boys team had two competitors in two events, and did not place in the top eight. Abraham Martinez was ninth in the pole vault, and Wyatt Cochran 10th in the shot put.
Lone Star was scheduled to compete last Saturday in the Strasburg Dave Spiller Invitational, but ended up not attending.

OTIS
The Otis High School track and field teams competed in the Wray Dick Evans Invitational, last Saturday.
Both teams had several competitors in several events, but did not score any team points in the meet.

ARICKAREE/WOODLIN
The Arickaree/Woodlin track and field athletes picked up some points in the Strasburg Dave Spiller Invitational, last Saturday.
The boys team scored 24 points with three second-place efforts.
Hayden Page was second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 11.69 seconds. Jacob Jefferson was second in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.36 seconds. The 4-by-200 relay placed second with a time of 1:38.33.
The girls team picked up a few points by placing sixth in the 800 sprint medley with a time of 2:16.96.

OTIS BASEBALL
The postseason is nearly here for the Otis High School baseball team.
The Bulldogs close out the regular season Saturday with away games against Simla and Eads. They were scheduled to play two at Caliche this past Tuesday.
The league tournament then begins Tuesday, May 3, with time and opponent still to be determined.
Otis was scheduled to go to Broomfield last Saturday to take on Flatirons Academy and Jefferson Academy. However, Otis ended up forfeiting the games, dropping to 5-5 on the season.
