1A track and field report

Lone Star had a strong day at the Holyoke Invitational, last Thursday, May 27.
The girls scored 50 points to finish eighth in the team standings. The boys scored 13 points to finish ninth in their division.
Alivia Weathers won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.59 seconds, and was second in the 300 hurdles in 50.06 seconds. Weathers also won the triple jump with a distance of 34-2.
Andrea Kuntz cleared 8-foot-9 to win the pole vault, and Aleighcea Kuntz was seventh at 6-9. Alison Davis put the shot 26-4 for eighth place.
In the relays, the Longhorns placed fourth in the 4-by-100 and fifth in the 800 sprint medley.
For the boys, Ethan Glenn was third in the 3200-meter run with a time of 13:25.62. Mahiro Yamamoto was sixth in the 800 in 2:26.75. Abraham Martinez cleared 9-3 to place eighth in the pole vault. Wyatt Cochran whipped the discus 96-3 to place sixth.

Otis at Holyoke
Otis High School track and field competed in the Holyoke Invitational, last Thursday.

Stratton/Liberty at Lamar
Stratton/Liberty track and field competed in the large Lamar Savage Invitational, last Thursday.
The girls were able to round up 18 points in the 22-school field. Keirstyn Louthan was fourth in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6 minutes, 25.02 seconds. Kennedy Frank triple jumped 29-7 to place eighth.
The 4-by-800 relay team of Emma Bohnen, Frank, Louthan and McKenna Notter placed third in 11:59.16. The 4-by-200 team of Louthan, Frank, Notter and Tonya Rothbauer was fourth in 2:01.7, and the 800 sprint medley foursome of Saylor Dempsey, Kali Fox, Rothbauer and Madison Tagtmeyer placed eighth in 2:14.63.
Stratton/Liberty’s boys scored two points as Alex Cruz placed seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 36-10.75.

Arickaree/Woodlin at Brush
The Arickaree/Woodlin track and field athletes competed in the Brush Beetdigger Invitational, last Saturday.
The boys scored 17 points to finish 12th in the 18-school field. Hayden Page was third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 16.23 seconds. Jacob Jefferson was third in the 300 hurdles in 45.77 seconds, and fourth in the 110 hurdles in 18.83 seconds.
The girls scored five points. The girls 4-by-800 relay team placed fourth in 14:30.5.
