Carla Mae Piper was born on August 17, 1941 to Jack and Erna (Swain) Evans in Denver, Colorado. She passed away on April 7, 2023 at the Prestige Care Center in Morrison, Colorado.
Carla Married Henry Edwin Piper on May 27, 1960. Carla and Henry “Eddie” spent sixty two years together before his passing.
Carla worked for the Jefferson County Schools as a teacher’s aide. She later worked as a computer lab instructor. She then went to work a job in retail sales at Marvyn’s.
Carla had many interests but nothing was more important to her than her family. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, Elvis music, traveling, gambling and bright colors. She was one to love her jewelry; she had a ring on almost every finger even some on her thumbs at times.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Erna Evans, Mother and Father in law Elmer and Lila Piper, Husband Henry Edwin Piper, Daughter Kimberly (Piper) Wolk, Sister Delores Evans Young, Brother in law Darrell Piper, Sister In law Kathy Piper, Niece Robyn (Meeker) Hoffman.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Steve) Montoya; grandkids, Gabriel (Whitney) Montoya and their children, Lila and Logan; Jessica (Roger) Flores and their children, Ari and Sylas; Trever (Sara) Montoya and their children, Maisie and Hadley; Baylee (Nicholas) Hartwig along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Graveside Service – Monday, April 17, 2023 at 11:30 A.M. at the Yuma Cemetery in Yuma, Colorado with Pastor Mike Fitzsimmons officiating. Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held on April 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roxborough Community Center at 6237 Roxborough Park Road in Littleton, Colorado 80125.
