Easter Egg Hunts, Easter Sunrise Services and Easter Services

Holy Week services, including sunrise services, and Easter Egg Hunts are on tap for this holiday weekend.
It should be great conditions for the Easter weekend as high temperatures are supposed to be in the 70s without a threat of high winds.
Yuma Childcare providers and the Yuma Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to host an Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday at Old Threshers. The Easter Bunny will arrive by 8:30 a.m. for visits and pictures, and the egg hunt itself begins at 9 a.m.
It is for ages 0-11, and there will be separate locations for the various age divisions.
The Yuma Ministerial Association will host an Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday at 6:30 a.m. This year the service will be held outside at the Yuma Cemetery. All are invited to attend, and enjoy the worship and fellowship while celebrating our Risen Christ.
Pleasant Valley Church is holding an Easter Sunrise Service on Old Baldy again this year. Those wanting to attend need to meet at Yuma County roads U and 54 at 6 a.m. to carpool to the top of Old Baldy, the highest location in Yuma County. Breakfast will follow at the church. There will be a worship service at 8 a.m. followed by an Easter Egg Hunt. Pleasant Valley Church also will have a Good Friday service on April 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Following are more are churches’ Holy Week services.
• St. John the Evangelist will have Holy Thursday mass at 5:30 p.m. in Yuma. Good Friday mass is 5:30 p.m. on April 7. Easter Sunday service is 9 a.m. An Easter Vigil mass will be held at the Wray Catholic church on Saturday at 8 p.m.
• First Presbyterian Church of Yuma will have a Maundy Thursday Service at 7 p.m. Good Friday service will be at 7 p.m. An Easter Egg Hunt will be held Sunday at 10 a.m., followed by the Easter Sunday service at 10:30 a.m.
• St. John’s Lutheran Church will have a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m., Good Friday at 7 p.m., and then an Easter breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by the Easter service at 9.
• Yuma United Methodist Church will have a Maundy Thursday service at 6:30 p.m., a Good Friday service at 6:30 p.m., then have its Easter Service at 10:30 a.m.
• Faith Bible Baptist Church will celebrate the Lord’s Last Supper on Thursday at 5 p.m. On Sunday, there will be an Easter breakfast at 8 a.m., Sunday School at 8:30, and the Easter service at 9:30.
• First Southern Baptist Church will have Sunday school on Easter Sunday at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Easter worship service at 10:45.
• Yuma First Church of the Nazarene will have its regular Sunday school class at 9:30 a.m., and its Easter Sunday worship service at 10:30 a.m. There also will be donuts and coffee “in celebration of the empty tomb!”
• Yuma Christian Church will have its Easter Sunday service at 10 a.m.
• The Eckley Community Church will have an Easter Sunday service at 9 a.m.
• New Life Christian will have Sunday schoola t 9 a.m., followed by Easter service 10 a.m.
