Four Indians named All-LPAA

The Yuma High School boys basketball team dominated the 2021-22 All-Lower Platte Activities Association selections.
That should come as no surprise as the Indians went undefeated while claiming another LPAA regular season title, and went on to win the 2A championship for the third time in five seasons.
Yuma ended up with four all-conference selections. Wray, Holyoke and Haxtun all had two, while Wray picked up a third in honorable mention.

Yuma All-LPAA
Clay Robinson —
The senior concluded an illustrious high school career by leading the Indians to the state title. He led the team in scoring at 18.1 points per game, led in steals and assists at 3.73 and 3.65 per game, respective, and was second in rebounds at 6.76 per game. He most assuredly will be named the Class 2A Player of Year when CHSAANow.com comes out with the all-state selections in the near future/
Beau Tate — The senior had a big final season, anchoring the middle for rebounds and putback baskets. He led the team in rebounds at 6.92 per game, and averaged 9.5 points per game.
Javier Gamboa — The senior was a regular varsity player for three seasons, and had another good one in 2021-22. He averaged 7.7 points per game 2.84 steals per game, and 2.39 assists per game.
Javier Duran — The junior was a sparkplug for the Indians, particularly in their pressure defense attack. He unfortunately missed the final weeks of the season with an injury, but hopefully will return for a big senior campaign. He was second in scoring at 10.4 points per game, and averaged 2.6 steals and 2.3 assists per game.
