Gary Lane Seifert, 80, passed away August 30, 2020 at his home in Harrisburg, NC.
Gary was born on June 20,1940 in La Junta, Colorado to the late Gloyd Loyal Seifert of Yuma, and Norine Elder of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Catherine, son Gary Jr and wife Tammy, daughter Deborah Ball and husband Jim, two beloved grandchildren Michael Weddington and Kayla Weddington, Stepmother Gladys Darlene Seifert of Yuma, brother Darrel Seifert and wife Jerilynn of Cheyenne Wyoming, nieces Sherra (Seifert) StClair and husband Mike and sons Samuel and Aiden, of Laramie, Wyoming, Erin (Seifert) Teague husband John and son Evan of Boulder, Colorado; niece Renee Fillette and her daughter Hanna and her sons Michael and Wyatt and granddaughter Kinsley, Brother in Law Frank Rinaudo of Tampa Florida.
Gary graduated from Yuma High School in 1958. He served in the Air Force in Newburgh, New York and Thule, Greenland. He worked at IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY, Boulder, CO, and Charlotte, NC. He had a private pilot’s license and loved to play piano and drums. He played in local bands in Colorado and the Air Force band out of Newburgh NY. After retiring from IBM, he worked at Rocky River Golf Course and enjoyed playing pool at Cabarrus Senior Center. Gary was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.
