YHS cross country

Yuma High School’s cross country runners are at the Washington Park Invitational in Denver on Saturday, after opening its season at the Windsor Wizards Invitational last Saturday.
Jiovani Perez led an eighth-member boys team by placing 26th at Windsor with a time of 21 minutes, 10.5 seconds. Silas Chambers was 30th in 21:31.7, Alan Flores 31st in 21:50.1, Anderson Weathers 35th in 22:32.10, Josiah Perez 39th in 22:43.5, Angel Ibarra 43rd in 23:13.5, Liam McClaran 48th in 23:58.1m and Hugo Olivas 49th in 24:13.4.
For the girls, Myka McDonald was 25th in 26:29.3, Achtonn Neill-Davison 35th in 31:31.3, and Alyssa Roberts 36th in 31:35.9.
