Yuma High School is working in concert with the other high schools in Yuma County to develop a plan allowing student/athletes to get in workouts this summer.
YHS Athletic Director Michael Dischner said the schools are working together with the Yuma County Task Force. He said the task force has asked the schools to submit a plan for more phases so it all can be approved at once, rather than go back for approval later for the next phase.
It is not set in stone yet, but Dischner said the first phase would be good through July 1, at which point the second phase would be implemented.
He said he hopes to start having workouts next week, depending on task force approval, and the school getting in place everything it needs, such as thermometers.
