Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Services

An Easter Egg Hunt is back on the schedule this year.
Yuma child care providers Jackie McCasland and Heather Medrano will be hosting the ninth annual Easter Egg Hunt at Old Threshers Grounds. It will be Saturday, April 3, at 9 a.m. Ages 0-10 are encouraged to participate. The Easter Bunny also will be there.
Participants and families are asked to please respect COVID-19 guidelines. Each age group will be announced when it is their time to participate.

Holy Week services
The Holy Week is here, and area churches have several services planned.
Pleasant Valley Church is planning on a Easter Sunrise service on Old Baldy, the highest point in the region. Meet at County Roads U and 54 at 6:15 a.m. to carpool (4-wheel drive) to the top.
Breakfast will be served at the church following the sunrise service.
Easter Sunday Worship will begin at 8:30 a.m. with special music. There will be no Sunday School, but there will be an egg hunt following worship.
Pleasant Valley also is having a Maundy Thursday service today, April 1, starting at 7 p.m.
The Yuma Ministerial Association will not be having a sunrise service this year. However, the ministers are preparing individual Easter greetings to be viewed on its Facebook page (facebook.com/yumaministerial). Additionally, the Facebook page also has a list of worship services happening this week.
First Presbyterian of Yuma will have an Easter Party for all ages at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, with worship at 10:30 a.m. The sermon hotline is 970-233-0747.
First Southern Baptist Church of Yum will have an Easter Sunday Service at 10:45 a.m.
St. John’s Lutheran will have an Easter Sunday worship at 9 a.m.
Yuma Christian Church will have an Easter Worship at 10 a.m., in-person, and also have a Facebook Live feed.
Yuma First Church of the Nazarene will have Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., and morning worship at 10:30 a.m. It will be in-person and also will be online at yuma1stnaz.org.
Yuma United Methodist Church’s Easter Worship and Holy Communion is at 10:30 a.m.
Faith Bible Baptist Church is having The Lord’s Supper today, April 1, at 5 p.m. The church will have an Easter Sunrise Servicea t 7:30 a.m., an Easter morning breakfast at 8, Sunday School at 8:30, and an Easter Worship Service at 9:30 a.m.

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church is having an Maundy Thursday bilingual mass today, .April 1, at 5:30 p.m. Good Friday service is 5:30 p.m., April 2. An Easter Sunday English mass will be at 9 a.m., and Spanish mass at 11 a.m.
New Life Christian is having Sunday school for all ages at 9 a.m., and the main church service at 10.
Eckley Community Church’s Easter Sunday service is 9 a.m. One can attend in-person, in your vehicle or online.
